SlideShowPro for Lightroom

Several months ago, I contacted the folks over at SlideShowPro.net about creating a Lightroom gallery for their product. They’d have taken me up on it, they said, except that a Lightroom version of the gallery was already in the works. And now, we finally have it.

SlideShowPro for Lightroom costs $25, and you get a whole lot of gallery for your money. Robust and attractive, and with SlideShowPro Director as an optional backend for maintaining the works online, SlideShowPro for Lightroom is definitely worth a look.

While setting up the original SlideShowPro required Flash, Lightroom 1.3 is the only requirement here. The gallery is fully configurable from within the Lightroom Web module, where users will find a vast number of options for creating their gallery.

SlideShowPro supports multiple galleries within a single slideshow and a full screen viewing mode, and brings yet another excellent third-party option to Adobe Lightroom’s Web module.

Great job on the interfaces for lightroom. But I am having a slight problem. The .xml file generated out works fine, but when I try to open it to edit…it looks scrambled like a bunch of small boxes. If I preview it in html it reads fine, but makes it impossible to edit…so I can get multiple galleries in one player for Slideshow pro or Monoslideshow.

Hi Todd,

The SlideShowPro gallery isn’t mine. You should directly any questions to the SlideShowPro User Forums.

But yes, it’s possible to have multiple galleries in both SlideShowPro and MonoSlideshow. You need to export the galleries individually, then splice the XML files together. I keep meaning to create a tutorial on this; I’ll do so soon.

Hi Tom,

There are forums for Slideshow Pro, linked in the comment directly above yours. If you’re having problems with the gallery, you should post there.

Cheers,
Matt
