Creating a multi-album gallery with MonoSlideshow

MonoSlideshow is awesome, and TTG MonoSlideshow Gallery makes it easy to crank awesome out of the Adobe Lightroom Web module. There’s quite a bit more can be done with MonoSlideshow than Lightroom can manage, though.

When it comes to using MonoSlideshow from Lightroom, one of the questions I’m most frequently asked is how to create galleries with multiple albums. In answer, I’ve created an explanatory podcast.

To create a multi-album gallery, you’ll need to export your galleries individually from Lightroom. Then you’ll need to employ your file browser and a text editor to bring them together. Watch the video to see how.

You can stream the video from YouTube, but I’m a crummy YouTuber and the sound and video aren’t synced. Better to use the video link above.

The same principles should be applicable to creating multi-album galleries using SlideShowPro.

Hello Matthew,

Wonderful tools you have here. You are one of super group of people that I plan to Donate to (as soon as I actually start earing $).

I downloaded a couple of .mov tutorials from your site but when I play then (in VLC as I’d hate to have Bloatware on my new laptop), It plays the audio and only the 1st frame of the Video. Could it be a problem with decompresion? What codec do I need to make sure I have if so?

Thanks Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Tell ya true, I know next to squat about properly encoding video. That’s probably why the sync is messed up on YouTube. For VLC, I’m not quite sure. The file is in MOV format, so I’d recommend Quicktime as the player of choice.

Cheers,
Matt

I Just DL’d 2 other .mov’s from other sites and was able to play one with occasional errors and other with good video but no Audio.

Hmmm. Perhaps I’ll try another player in the future.
