The week in concerts, September 11-15

Casker, Koop and Nine Inch Nails

I went to see Koop performing at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel with The Melody, Humming Urban Stereo and Casker. I was there to photograph the event on behalf of Pastel Music and was given a press pass that I got to wave in the faces of concert security, suited fellows who looked more like CIA than concert bouncers.

The show was fantastic!

APLS opened the set. Thankfully, they only sang two songs (I hate APLS). The Melody, Humming Urban Stereo and Casker all played fantastic sets with full bands. I got some great photos from the show, which I’ll be posting when I get them all processed. In the meantime, here are my Casker photos wrapped up in an Animoto slideshow:

There are a few video clips of Koop performing here.

Also worth mentioning, I saw Nine Inch Nails at Olympic Park on Tuesday, and they too were awesome. Having been a NIN fan for 16 years, it was a very special evening and Trent and company put on an amazing show. I opted not to take my camera that evening, wanting just to enjoy some music for a change without anything else on my mind, so no photos.
