Airtight Galleries from Adobe

Adobe has released their own gallery templates for Airtight Interactive‘s SimpleViewer, AutoViewer and PostcardViewer flash photo galleries …

EDIT: Adobe’s AutoViewer, PostcardViewer and SimpleViewer galleries are now bundled into the Lightroom release package; downloads are no longer necessary.

I have also developed my own gallery templates for Airtight Interative’s galleries – SimpleViewer and Postcard viewer before Adobe, and a more recent AutoViewer gallery after the Adobe releases. My own TTG verisons of the galleries come in both HTML and Flash-based templates, and offer a greater array of customizable options than do Adobe’s templates.

My SimpleViewer gallery allows for image Watermarking and assigning a background image.

My AutoViewer gallery allows for image Watermarking.

My PostcardViewer gallery allows for image Watermarking.

I’m wondering… where is the adobe webpage to download all these galleries. Can seem to find it!

www.adobelightroom.com just redirects to the product page on adobe.com

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Dave.

All the Airtight Galleries comes with LR update 1.3. Just install the LR update and go to the Web module and, viola! Its all there.

Cheers!

Yes, I know they’ve now been included as part of LR 1.3. My own versions offer a few more features, however.

My SimpleViewer gallery allows for image Watermarking and assigning a background image.

My AutoViewer gallery allows for image Watermarking and a Gallery Description.

My PostcardViewer gallery allows for image Watermarking.

It apears that your links up there are not working by the way…

I have been hunting high and low to find a way to add sound into the Autoviewer, I don’t seem to be able to find an answer. I searched in forums and websites; questions are left unanswered.

It appears that there must be a way to go through from his xml file, but I don’t want to add a url.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience. It would be a great relief!

Calliope,

Adobe’s Airtight galleries are now bundled into the LR release, so I guess the downloads are no longer available/necessary. I’ll update the article.

As to AutoViewer, sound is not supported, though you might be able to add it to the FLA file if you know Flash and purchase the Pro version. I can’t say for sure, though. Out of the box, sound is a no-go.

MonoSlideshow supports sounds; have you tried it?

Matthew,

I am wondering what the difference is between Simpleviewer and Simpleviewer Pro. What of your improved templates would be lost by upgrading to Simpleviewer Pro? One thing I want to do is eliminate the Simpleviewer download which appears on the non-Pro version.

zac,

SimpleViewer Pro eliminates the download link. It also includes the original FLA file. It includes a number of options not available in the free version. But those options need be set from within Flash, and a new SWF published. They cannot be set from within an XML file, and therefore cannot be set from within LR.

That said, you can use the Pro version with either my or Adobe’s SimpleViewer template. Simply publish your own SWF file with your custom settings, then use it to replace the SWF file used by the gallery.

Full details on SimpleViewer Pro are here.

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way of including a simple background pattern in the autoviewer. Can I edit the XML to do that somehow?

Gonzalo,
AutoViewer does not contain the option to set a background image, nor does it support background transparency.

Matt,

I am designing/building a site for my wife. She is an artist and has multiple series of work I want to display. Rigth now she has about 3 different series. I having trouble setting up multiple simpleview galleries on the site. Any advice?

There’s not reason you cannot have multiple galleries. Each just needs to be placed in its own directory on the web server. So, you might have one gallery located in galleries/landscapes, another located in galleries/portraits and a third in galleries/family.
