A work-in-progress: CE4 Theme for WordPress

mc_20100721_tx2ca_Texas_0015

We are planning to launch CE4 Theme for WordPress alongside our other stalwarts in mid-July. But while the other plugins are very near to being finalized for release, CE4 Theme for WordPress is still very much a work-in-progress.

That said, I've activated the CE4 theme on the Campagna Pictures blog.

At this point, I'm still in the process of rebuilding and streamlining much of the functionality from the previous version and making sure that all works. As it stands, the theme is a bit of an empty shell (hence my image choice above), but things are on track and looking very good.

I've spent a good portion of today working through Google's Authorship and Structured Data Markup information and making sure that posts will validate, the results of which you can enjoy here.

You can also see the metadata trailing each post has been updated with a more modern design.

At present, there's nothing much going on with single image pages or galleries, so clicking into those things is basically a train wreck. But that will hopefully change within the next few days.

You might also notice some movement in the masthead when hopping between the Galleries page and Blog in the menu. That's just because I've made some adjustments to the masthead code in my current plugin builds, and those changes are not reflected in what's presently online from the earlier preview article. Of course the mastheads will be identical in the final versions.

I expect to have my head buried in CE4 Theme for WordPress for the next week or two, so if you have any requests for changes or new features as compared to CE3, now would be a good time to leave your ideas in the comments below.

    Will CRG have fotomoto support?
Also will CE 4 work with Lightroom 3?

Fotomoto has never been supported by CRG, and never will be. CE4 Gallery has Fotomoto support.

Haven’t tested with LR3, but I expect it should work. Can’t fathom why you haven’t upgraded though.

Update: post galleries are still a work-in-progress, but not quite the train wreck they were yesterday.
