Update: TTG CE2 Client Response Gallery 4.0.5

Today, an update to TTG CE2 Client Response Gallery. Some changes are old items I've been sitting on, and others are in response to new forum discussions.

  • Added shim for HTML5 form compliance by noncompliant browsers.
  • Added PHPlugins hooks ttg_form_action and ttg_form_fields, exclusive to TTG CE2 Client Response Gallery. See documentation.
  • Added 'From' address to setup; may help in cases where emails are not being received due to mail server security. Should be an address @yourdomain.com, where yourdomain.com is the same as your site domain.
  • Email received from gallery now includes gallery URL; this added instead of filling a request for setting email subject as gallery title, which introduces complications. Only when gallery exports as PHP (enable PHPlugins, Facebook ID or password protection to include this feature).
  • Google Maps: added Map Type option.
  • Google Maps: fixed Map Zoom slider.
  • Google Maps: disabled 'iwloc' option in maps URL.
  • Exported image metadata now defaults to 'all'.
  • Portugese language option for Highslide localization, courtesy of Clicio Barroso Filho.

  1. Thanks for these. Just another suggestion, does the system send a copy of change requests/comments to the client when they submit? One client recently emailed me all her changes because she wasn’t confident the system would get through to me. A confirmation email to the client would allay that fear/concern.

    Cheers

    • Edit the set_email.php file, change to:

      <?php

      $my_email = 'you@yourdomain.com,' . $_REQUEST['email'];
      $from_email = "you@yourdomain.com";
      $continue = "../../";

      ?>

  2. Matt,

    Is an error message supposed to pop up in Safari (for Windows and on the iPad and iPod) if the Name or Email field are left blank? Because I’m not seeing that. I can leave one or both of those fields blank and the form is still sent to me, from my hosting account (as I believe it was before)

  3. Right. Submission shouldn’t be allowed if Name and Email are blank. A message should appear under the send button. Test gallery: http://test.theturninggate.net/crg2/

  4. Hello I am trying to change the set-email.php but I am afraid to change something wrong as there it says:
    <%
    write ("”
    )
    %>

    sShould I just delete what´s in there and put what your say up in the first reply??
    thanks

    • Change the file AFTER exporting. Or just replace the entire contents with your own settings, though be aware that the controls in Lightroom will then no longer be able to put information into the file.

  5. I generally use these plug-ins for the client response gallery.

    Three things that I would love to see are a selection button from inside the response options panel or if the response panel is used at all then automatically select the photo. Sometimes its difficult to locate an image you were commenting on especially when there may be hundreds of images.

    Second would be to use the cart directly with the client response gallery.

    Third I would like for my clients to be able to continue a session at a later time without losing selections made or comments they had made

    If any of this has been done I would very much like to hear about it.

    Thanks for the great tools!!
