Publisher + Highslide Updates
TTG CE2 Publisher 1.1.1 and TTG CE2 Highslide Gallery 4.2.3. These are minor stability and bugfix updates to address a handful of small issues that cropped up over the weekend, following our massive update a few days ago. Here's what's done:
TTG CE2 Publisher 1.1.1
* support for titles that differ from the Lightroom album name, allowing punctuation and special characters. Applies to albums and album sets.
* fix to encode additional characters (% and +) in content block and other fields
* fix for error in getPublishedRenditions that affects some users
* changed method of getting filesize that affects some users with Windows servers
TTG CE2 Highslide Gallery 4.2.3
* Empty captions and headings no longer display "Array".
We're sending emails with download links, or you can lookup your order(s) in the sidebar.

yiha! Thank you for quick update handling special characters.
Great documentation helped setting up publisher quickly, wich in the backround is pretty advanced but as an end user you do need to care. Maybe correct the documentation of the path to config file (http://wiki.theturninggate.net/doku.php?id=ttg_ce2_publisher_quick_install_guide)

I hope that’s working for you. We had that fix in mind, and you brought it up just as we were finalising our latest update. Glad to have been able to include it.

Works like a charm. Thank you.

Great thx :)
Does This update include metadata token support for Filenumber suffix?
December 24, 2012 at 4:38 am
I don’t know what you mean by “Filenumber suffix”. Supported metadata is listed in the documentation:

just changing from photoswipe to highslide in order to use publisher….
is there a way to have the metadata plate to show what I use to have in photoswipe:
“FolderName FilenameNumberSuffix”?
Can’t seem to find this in the list of supported metadata…

So I repeat the question: What on earth is “FilenameNumberSuffix” supposed to be?
December 24, 2012 at 11:57 am
There’s a “Filename Number Suffix” option in Lightroom in the Filename Template Editor (and in the Image Info section of the Web module).
Looks like it just takes the last group of numbers from the filename. If the filename has no numbers, nothing is returned.
So “Filename Number Suffix” for a filename like arches_090423_3456.dng would return 3456.

Thank you, Rod. No, I don’t think anything in the token protocol does that.

Thx Ben.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for.
Using Photoswipe I used to have the Id plates to show like in this album:
http://www.ugilt.net/galleries/03_Events/Inkfestival2012/
And would love to achieve the same using Publisher.

Been reading up on Jeffrey’s LUA and see that this command should do the command:
{LUA=string.gsub(Filename, “.+_”, “”)}
This does however return an error in Lightroom when publishing:
Unable to perform action: saveMetadata
Message: The page sent an action which was not available.

Michael,
Take a look at LR Transporter. I may be able to send info from the metadata token you’re using now to say, the Title field, which Publisher can then use.
Take a look:

I’m sure LR Transporter will work but it will add yet another step in the workflow that the new Publisher plugin should reduce….
Is there any change to have better LUA support in next update? or am I simply using it wrong?
December 27, 2012 at 2:46 pm
Just for the record. It can be easily done reading up on LUA ;)
{Folder:DU2S} {LUA=string.sub(Filename, -4, -1) }

Hi – just a quick word to say thanks so much for the update! I’m a landscape artist and my website needs constant updating as new work is produced. The initial release of Publisher was great but now with the update I’m able to show the title, dimensions and medium of each painting again based on Lightroom metadata – brilliant! The blog is also working now. Next challenge will be setting up Cart so that I can sell prints online.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
